The psychology of eating - self empowerment

The new year is a great time to take stock of who we are, what we're doing and how we're doing it. For most older women it seems that weight and body image seem to be a constant battle. Resolutions seem futile and demoralising. But take heart as there really is a glorious way forward and it starts with you. Because in a very real sense you are the centre of your known universe. A powerful, creative and vibrant fusion. Focus on that and a sense of self worth and self acceptance will follow.

Good health is so much more than what we eat and whether we exercise. (As important as all of that is.) For me it's as much about  nurturing empowerment as it is about the choices made to nourish body and soul.

I've recently discovered the Institute for the Psychology of Eating - a site packed with interest, ideas and new thinking, presented in an honest and empathetic way.  I urge you to dive in a have a look. It might be just what you need to help get the new year off to a good start.
