Comfort footwear of the season

As soon as the cold weather starts I reach for thick hosiery and boots - my favourite combo. Dressed up or down the look is both stylish and bang on trend. A great pair of boots can be the centre piece of your outfit, so it's worth getting right.

For most women over 40, although the look has to be right,  comfort is a priority. If this is something that you're struggling with here are a couple of stylish comfort ranges that I can recommend.

Fitflop boots -

Fitflop boots, with their characteristic ergonomic foot bed, are the ultimate in comfort footwear and well worth the hefty price-tag. The Mikluk boot offers extreme comfort. The tall suede sheep-skinned lined Mikluk looks super cool. However, of all the boots in this range there are problems with durability; which is maybe why I haven't been able to buy them for a couple of years now. In the UK some selected ranges  can be purchased at quality high street retailers. However, to get the full range, it's probably best to shop on line. To browse the ranges click here - Fitflop boots

Duo boots -

Over the years I have bought stylish comfort boots from Duo. In the UK their stores are in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. If you live near a store it's probably worth trying a few styles on as comfort can vary significantly. You can also get your calf size measured,. (Their long boots come in different calf sizes, which is a fairly unique selling point.) Over the years I've bought several boots in the Malmo range. They, too, come with a hefty price tag. However, for that you get durability and all day comfort which is stylish and smart enough for the office. I notice that this range is now only available in their on line outlet store. However, there are some great bargains and it's worth a browse. Click -

Here's to happy feet!
